Marcus Ochoa’s Top 10 Book List

Marcus Ochoa's Top 10 Book ListI’d consider myself an avid reader. I love to learn new things and have a hunger for knowledge. Reading is a great way to satisfy this “hunger”. It’s also a great way to be inspired and motivated.

Reading just 10 pages a day (consistently) can be a life changing habit. I attribute reading as one of the main factors to the successes I’ve had so far, and because I don’t plan to ever stop reading new books and learning new things, I know I’ll continue to grow as a person and attract more and more success into my life because of this daily habit.

If you don’t consider yourself a “reader”, my advice is to become one.

“The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who can’t read them.” -Mark Twain

“You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” -Charlie Jones

Obviously just reading the books is not going to make a difference. You must “study” the books and implement what you learn. I read a recent study that claimed that 95% of people who read a book don’t implement what they learn. It’s all about implementation.

Many people have asked me what my top book recommendations are. So I put together a list of my top 10 book picks on network marketing specifically, and my top 10 picks on general personal development. The list will be a constant work in progress and I’m sure it will change as I read new books. But as of right now, here’s my list!

And 2 Bonus Books On Selling…

11.) Go For No! by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz. In a world inundated with sales books on getting to yes, this book recommends just the opposite, focusing on how increasing your failure rate can greatly accelerate your movement toward ultimate success. Go for No!

12.) The Psychology Of Selling by Brian Tracy. Double and triple your sales, in any market. The purpose of this book is to give you a series of ideas, methods, strategies, and techniques that you can use immediately to make more sales, faster and easier than ever before.

My recommendation is to pick up all of these books. Read them, study them, devour them (multiple times), and most importantly, apply and implement what you learn. Every one of the books I listed has the power to be life changing if the principles in them are applied.

While reading, act as if you are having a conversation with the author. Except they are doing all of the talking. Let them do the talking (they’re the experts). You job is to be a good listener and apply what is being taught. Books are amazing. For only $10 you can have a 4 hour conversation with an expert on any topic that you’re interested in. They’ve done all of the research, they have “been there…done that”. Normally their books are based off of decades of experience. We’d be foolish not to read as often as possible.
