One of the things that sets Beachbody’s home business opportunity apart from any other out there is that they are able to hand out free customers to their distributors (Coaches). This is HUGE.

If you know anything about business, you probably know that customer acquisition is one of the hardest aspects of all business. Many large companies, and even start up companies shell out big bucks to acquire customers, with the hopes of turning these customers into repeat customers. Generally a company expects to break even from the first or second sale a customer makes, then start to profit on the third and forth sale. It really all depends on the specific business, but my point is that acquiring customers is a challenging feat. Beachbody is being very generous and to literally hand out customers the Beachbody Coaches helps them solve one of the most common problem of not having anyone to talk to.
How Is Beachbody Able To Give Out Free Customer To Beachbody Coaches?
I know many of you reading this are skeptical, you may be thinking in your head, “how are they able to do that?”…. Let me explain.
The concept is actually very simple. Beachbody airs infomercials all day and all night long. I can seem to flip through my ATT Uverse channels without coming across an Insanity, 10 Minute Trainer, Brazil Butt Lift, or Derm Exclusive infomercial (these seem to be the most popular infomercials that Beachbody is currently running at the time of this writing, but it always changes.)
These infomercials that Beachbody runs generate thousand of new customers every week. Theses customers are then given to a Coach as what is called a “customer lead” through Beachbody’s customer lead program. It is important for me to point out that a Coach must qualify for the customer lead program, but qualifying is not difficult to do.
“Aha, I have to ‘QUALIFY’, I knew there was a catch”, is what you are probably thinking right now, am I right?
Requiring Coaches to qualify for the customer leads is actually a good thing and makes perfect sense. Someone shouldn’t be able to sign up as a Beachbody Coach, put in no effort, not take THEIR business seriously, and be able to receive free customers, that just wouldn’t be fair to the Coaches that are putting in a real effort.
Basically the customer lead program rewards the Beachbody Coaches that are actively participating in their business. It is also important to understand that while the customer leads are a great incentive, it is not the end all, be all to growing your business. As a Coach you will still want to continue to put in a serious effort and continue to perform the necessary actions that will grow your business.
The point I’m trying to make is that you can not expect to put in a small effort just qualify for free customers, then sit back and watch the money role in. Unfortunately it is not that easy.
It is also important that I point out that the Coach does not receive the credit or a commission for the initial sale that is made by the customer generated through the customer lead program. But the good news is that once a customer is given to a Beachbody Coach, that customer is tied to that Coach, and if that customer ever makes a purchase in the future, the Coach tied to them will earn a commission. And this does happen. It is possible for a customer to make a purchase, and for Beachbody Coach tied to that customer to receive a commission without ever talking or communicating with that customer. This happens to me every once in awhile and I hear about it happening all of the time from other Coaches on my team.

So How Does A Beachbody Coach Qualify For Free Customers?
To qualify for Beachbody’s customer lead program, there are a few things a Coach must:
- Advance in rank to Emerald (Personally sponsor 1 active Coach in each leg)
- Be a Team Beachbody Club Member ($2.99/week)
- Have their Team Beachbody profile filled out with a profile picture, and at least a “before” picture
That is all, those are the only 3 things that a Beachbody Coach must do in order to qualify for free customers.
How are the customers distributed? Do higher ranking Coaches get more customers? How Many Customer Can I Expect To Be Given?
The customers are distributed evenly on a lead wheel to all Coaches that qualify. It doesn’t matter what their rank is. As long as a Coach qualifies, they all get the same amount of customers.
From my experience over the past couple of years, the number of customer a Beachbody Coach will be given through the customer lead program depends on what time of they year it is. December-April seem is generally the busiest time of the year for Beachbody and that is the period when they are running the most infomercials which means during that time more customers are generated and that more customers are able to be given out to the Coaches. To put a specific number on it, I’d say that during the busy season, a Beachbody Coach will be given about 4-5 customers a week, and during the slower summer season, about 1-2 customers a week. If these numbers seem low or insignificant to you, just look at the long term numbers accumulated of the course of a few years. Over time, the number of customers will add up.

Thinking Long Term – Big Picture
It is important to understand the potential and see the big picture of this business opportunity. As a Beachbody Coach, getting free customers is great. But think about what it could mean for you if you’ve built a team of 100 Coaches, or even 1000 Coaches, and they are all getting free customers too. Think about the power this could have and what kind of team volume that could generate for your business.
Update…This is kind of weird, after making this post I saw later in the day that the CEO of Beachbody, Carl Daikeler posted on facebook that in 2012, the company gave out over 800,000 customer leads to qualifying Coaches in 2012. 800,000!!….That is a huge number….pretty sweet.
