Will I Be Forced To Buy Shakeology?

A question that comes up often from people who are considering becoming a Beachbody Coach, or who are maybe even already signed up is, “do I have to drink Shakeology?…Am I required to buy Shakeology in order to be a Beachbody Coach?”

And my answer is…

Technically no, Beachbody Coaches are not required or forced to drink Shakeology if they don’t want to. If someone wants to become a Beachbody Coach to sell the products and build a business, they have the option to do that, BUT…it’s going to very hard to be successful if you aren’t using the products yourself.

Relationship Marketing

As Beachbody Coaches, we us “relationship marketing” to share these products with people that we know and already have a relationship with. We don’t sell, but instead we recommend. We recommend products that we use ourselves, products that we love, and products that we know will get results.

So with that being said, my question to you is, how do you expect to recommend Shakeology to other people or give your opinion on it if you are not drinking it yourself or even willing to try it. At the very least, as a Beachbody Coach you must be willing to try Shakeology.

Now don’t take this the wrong way. I don’t want this to sound like I want to “force” you to drink Shakeology, because that is not the case at all. I never want to force anyone to ever do anything that they don’t want to do, that’s not what I’m about. What I’m saying is, if you are not drinking Shakeology, and you don’t love Shakeology yourself, then maybe becoming a Beachbody Coach is not a good idea for you because it’s a HUGE aspect to this business.

I’m sure this is going to turn a few people off, but I’m just being honest. Any successful Coach will tell you that they are drinking Shakeology.

I don’t want people to sign up as a Coach and feel “forced” to drink Shakeology. I’m looking for people that are already drinking Shakeology, love it, and feel great about recommending it to others because those are they type of people that will have success in this business. Happy customers make the best Coaches. If you are just looking to make a fast buck, then this isn’t going to work for you.

Skeptical Of Shakeology

Confession – When Shakeology was first introduced I was skeptical. My first thoughts were, “oh great, another overpriced protein shake.”

When Shakeology was released, I didn’t try it for almost 3 months. Initially I was skeptical, but once I saw some of the testimonials that started rolling in, I became curious and began to have an open mind. I decided to do a little research of my own on the ingredients and during that process I learned a lot. I learned that Shakeology was packed with great ingredients that were healthy for me. I discovered that this was much more that just an “overpriced protein shake.”

I eventually decided to give Shakeology a try. I can remember making my first shake. At this point I was still a “non-believer” and to be honest I was expecting it to taste awful. Maybe I was even secretly hoping for it to taste awful (so I could confirm my original thoughts about it). I took my first sip and was literally shocked and how good it tasted.

Long story short, I drank Shakeology every day for that first month. I felt great and loved the way it made me feel. It became addicting. It was like my body was starting to crave these healthy ingredients…. And I’ve been drinking it every day since! Not as a meal replacement, but as a midday snack.

Often times I speak to a new Coach that doesn’t want to approach their friends, family, coworkers, or anyone that they know about their new business. This is because they don’t truly believe in the products and the value that they provide. I feel great about recommending Shakeology and Beachbody workouts to people that I know because I know with 100% certainty that they will get great results if they go through the program the way it is designed to be done. Why wouldn’t I want to share this with people I know so that it can help them improve their health. They are the ones I care about the most, so they are the ones I’m most interested in helping.

These products can be life changing. I’ve seen it happen again and again, thousands of times. People’s lives have been changed for the better because of these products. And you really can’t put a price tag on that.

As a Beachbody Coach, you want to take in all of the success stories you can. See for yourself the lives that these products are changing. This will strengthen your belief in this business and ultimately help grow your business.

Why You Should Drink Shakeology Everyday

If price is your concern, again it’s important to understand and know the value of Shakeology. As a Coach, you should believe that it’s worth the price or else it’s going to be very hard to recommend it to others with integrity. It’s important to understand that Shakeology is a “replacement”, not an “addition”. The idea is to replace something you are eating everyday already with Shakeology. When you use Shakeology as a replacement, whether a meal or a snack, the costs usually cancel each other out or you’ll find that you may even be saving money by drinking Shakeology.

For example, I have a friend that stops by a gas station every morning on his way to work. He picks up a coffee, a bagel, a Mountain Dew or Red Bull, and a bag of chips for a snack later in the day. Every day he was spending 6 or 7 dollars on these unhealthy snacks. Usually people will look at the daily expense and are shocked to see what they are spending on a weekly or month basis. When I did the math for him and showed him he was spending close to $150 a month on these unhealthy snacks, he was shocked. My suggestion for him was to replace the bagel, Mountain Dew, and bag of chips (coffee was non-negotiable) with Shakeology. He followed my advice and in one one month he lost around 12 pounds from making this one simple change.

And because he was using Shakeology to replace unhealthy snacks, the cost stayed near the same and the price of Shakeology wasn’t an issue.

It comes down to priorities and what people want. Many people don’t think twice about spending $3 dollars a day on a coffee, Red Bull, 5 Hour Energy, or dropping $100 every Friday night at the bar, which are all things that have zero health benefits. But when considering Shakeology, these same people will say, it’s too expensive, I can’t afford that.

One more quick example of this is an acquaintance of mine. He smoke 2 packs a day (which cost like $12/day I think)…and he tells me that he can’t afford Shakeology…lol…It all comes down to priorities. People have the money for the things that they want.

Remember, look at Shakeology as a replacement, not an addition.

And lastly, as a Beachbody Coach you want to be drinking Shakeology yourself to set a precedent for your team. As you sponsor new Coaches into the business, they are going to follow your lead. If they see you’re not drinking Shakeology, they will think they don’t need to drink it either, and that will trickle down to the new Coaches that they also sponsor. Before you know it, you’ll have a team of 250 Coaches and none of them are drinking Shakeology because it wasn’t something that was talked about or that seemed important.

You want to be the example for you team and your customers. Use the products, and share your results with them. People will be watching you, and as they see you improving, they’ll want to join.

The point is…if you plan on building a successful Beachbody Coach business, you must be on board with Shakeology and drinking it yourself.
