Earlier today I was asked the question, “What is the starting Beachbody Coach salary?” Which I kind of thought was a strange question, but I guess if someone doesn’t know how the business works, the question makes sense. They wanted to know when first start out, how much money does a Beachbody Coach earn?
How Much Is A Beachbody Coach Salary?
What is a Beachbody Coach’s salary is a strange question because they do not earn a “salary” or an hourly wage.
Each Beachbody Coach is the owner of their own business. Officially they are referred to as Independent Team Beachbody Coaches (Independent Contractors) and every Beachbody Coach salary starts at $0/week.
Beachbody Coaches are paid on their own individual efforts. If someone signs up to a Beachbody Coach, and puts forth a decent effort and treats their business like a “real” business, then they will be compensated appropriately. On the flipside, if someone signs up to be a Beachbody Coach and doesn’t put forth any effort, obviously they won’t make any money money and their “Beachbody Coach Salary” will remain $0.
How To Raise Your Beachbody Coach Salary
Remember, there is no such thing as a “Beachbody Coach salary“. Coaches earn money 2 ways, from the products they sell, and from bonuses from the volume created within their organization.
Generally, Beachbody Coaches earn a 25% commission from the products they sell.
So if a Beachbody Coach sells Shakeology, which retails for $129, they earn a $32 commission. If a Coach makes 5 Shakeology sales in one week, that Coach will earn $160 for that week. Not bad for only referring someone to a website. Coaches aren’t required to have inventory or ship the product, all they have to do is send their customers to the website that Beachbody provide them when they join, and if a sale is made, the Coach gets the commission.
In addition to retail sales, a Beachbody Coach also has the opportunity to build a team of Coaches and earn bonuses on all of the volume created within the team. This is a form of leverage and is where the “big” money is made. As one Coach, there is only a certain amount of sales you can realistically make yourself, but if you have a team of a few hundred, or even a few thousand Coaches, your team volume numbers will be high and you will be earning some nice size cycle bonuses.
The team cycle bonuses are too complicated to explain in this post, but you can read more about them and how they work by clicking here. If you are thinking about becoming a Beachbody Coach, you don’t need to know the exact specifics of everything right from the beginning. The compensation plan can be complicated for someone new in the business, I personally didn’t understand it fully until checks started to roll in.
The takeaway I want you to get from this post is that the is no such thing as a “Beachbody Coach Salary“. What each Coach earns depends entirely on that their effort.
Beachbody Coaches Use Leverage To Grow Their Businesses
One of the things that is great about the business model that the Beachbody home business opportunity uses is that is allows the Coaches (distributors) to use leverage to build build their business, a team, and ultimately team volume, which Beachbody Coaches earn bonuses on. Generally, the more team volume a Beachbody Coach has in their organization every week, the more money the Coach will make.
“Properly applied leverage can multiply the results you get from your efforts, whether you are moving boulders or building your Beachbody business.”
The use of leverage to make money is essential.
No one gets wealthy on their own. Of course their are a few exceptions, but in general you’re only one person, have only 24 hours in a day, and can only get so much done. We need help. We need a team of some kind if we have big goals.
There are many forms of “leverage” out there. Typical business owners use employees as leverage to run their businesses. An employee usually makes a hourly wage regardless of how much profit the business makes. The problem with being an employee is that no matter hard how you work, or how much money you help to bring in, you still make the same amount. It is hard for employees to stay motivated because there is no incentive, they get paid the same amount whether they work hard or not. In some cases, it is actually beneficial to an employee to work slower, because they get paid by the hour. If you are an hourly or a salary worker, understand that you are being used as leverage to grow your boss’ s business.
Don’t get me wrong, being an employee and earning an hourly wage is great for some people. A lot of people love the security of having a job to go everyday. They can do their work, go home, and collect their check at the end of the week. Hourly employees are trading potential for security, but some people would rather have the security. Entrepreneurs trade their security for potential.
As an employee you have very limited potential to grow. Getting a promotion and a raise is always possible, but when you work for an hourly wage, there is always a cap on how much per hour you can realistically make.
Being an employee, you are also limited to the amount of money you can make simply because there are only so many hours in a day. If you made $20 an hour, and worked 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the most you could possibly make in one week is $3360, and that is if you worked for 7 days straight with no sleep. (And no, I didn’t account for overtime pay, this is just a simple example to illustrate a point).
The point is, as an hourly worker, or even a brain surgeon, if you’re not working, you’re not making money. You’re simply trading time for money. A brain surgeon can only perform a certain amount of brain surgeries in a day, which means his/her income is tied to his time.
Beachbody Coach = Leverage = Unlimited Potential
Someone that is able to use leverage to build a business and to earn money has infinite growth potential. Being a Beachbody Coach gives you the opportunity to use leverage to grow your business because it allows Coaches to be able to build their own team of Coaches which enables you to leverage the efforts of others.
Beachbody Coaches Can Leverage The Time And Efforts Of Others
Let’s say you have 10 hours of free time a week that you can devote to your Beachbody business, which is more than enough time when first starting out. A few months ago by, and you’ve sponsored 10 new Coaches into the business, all who also have 10 hours a weeks to devote to their business. Because these 10 Coaches are in your organization, you now have 110 combined hours a week working towards growing and building your organization. Now imagine if you have a team of 100 Coaches, or even a 100o Coaches. This is exactly how some Coaches are earning thousands of dollars a week.
Some people will take the phrase, “leverage the efforts of others”, the wrong way. Some people will see that phrase as trying to “use” people or take advantage of people in some kind of way, this is not the case.
Think about it, every employer “leverages the efforts of their employees” to make a profit. By being a Beachbody Coach you can use this same type of leverage to grow your own business. It is very important to not think, my sponsor, or my upline, is just using me for “leverage”. As a Beachbody Coach, your sponsor, or anyone in your upline, has a true vested interest in seeing you do well and succeed in this business, which means they will be willing to help you in any way that they can. That is why this business model is so great. When I sponsor a new Coach into the business, I hope that they out perform and do better than I do, it’s the nature of the business model.
Being a Beachbody Coach enables you to use leverage to grow a business. This a concept that a lot of people don’t understand. Hopefully after reading this post, you you now understand the concept.
