Are you thinking about becoming a Beachbody Coach but not sure where to start?
In this post I’m going to share a simple plan that anyone can use to grow their Beachbody business.
Maybe you’re wondering or thinking to yourself, “why should I listen to this guy?”
Here’s why I believe I’m a trusted credible source; at the time of this writing, I’ve been a Beachbody Coach for over 10 years, and have earned over $700,000 in commissions from my Beachbody business.
I’m not sharing those numbers with you to brag, or for you to think that I’m so awesome or anything like that. (I’m personally not impressed with my own numbers.)
I share those numbers with you as a reason for you to trust that I might know what I’m talking about. I don’t have all of the answers (anyone that says they do is lying), but I’ve been in this game for over 10 years. I’ve had some failures, some successes, and I’ve learned some effective strategies that anyone can use to build a successful Beachbody Coach business.
Also, it’s important for me to mention that how much I earn has absolutely nothing to do with how much you will earn. How much you earn will be based of the effort you put in and the results you produce. Some people sign up and do very well. And some sign up, don’t try very hard, and don’t make any money at all.
What NOT To Do
While it is important to know what TO DO, sometimes it’s even more important to know what NOT TO DO.
A common mistake I see new Beachbody Coaches make is, they get signed up, and immediately head on over to facebook and post something like, “I just became a Beachbody Coach, buy my stuff so I can make money! Here’s my website link.”
Most new Beachbody Coaches are guilty of this. Maybe in the not so purposely exaggerated example I used above, but something similar.
As you can probably predict, the post gets no likes, no comments, nothing. Or maybe it even gets a negative comment of some sort.
Either way, the new Beachbody Coach is immediately discouraged. Right then and there they may believe they can’t make it in this business, and they give up.
Don’t make that mistake. Take the time to learn some things before you share the product or business opportunity with others.
Don’t think you need to be in perfect shape or an expert on health and fitness in order to have success as a Beachbody Coach. That is NOT true.
Being a Beachbody Coach is about the journey of improving our health and fitness, not being perfect.
Don’t create a new facebook or instagram account that you plan to use only for Beachbody Coaching. (at least not at first.) I’ve seen several people do this and it doesn’t make sense. So you have a new instagram page with 0 followers, you make posts and no one sees it. (As the old saying goes, if a tree falls in the forest…)
Also, don’t create a new email address that you plan to use only for your Beachbody business. For example, you don’t have to be BeachbodyJackie@gmail.com. Not because it’s a bad idea, but because now you have a 2nd email inbox to keep an eye on. The chances are that inbox will be less important than your main email inbox. Again, I’ve seen this happen, it’s usually a bad idea. And I know it seems like such a minor detail, but trust me. At least when first starting out, just use your main and best email address that is going to get checked on a regular basis.
But I’m getting sidetracked… Back to the simple plan.
8 Simple Steps To Build Your Beachbody Coach Business
Below are 8 simple steps to build a Beachbody Business, and I’ll elaborate on each step further down below:
- Pick workout program to follow
- Invite others to to the program with you
- Start creating content on a blog & YouTube
- Invite those that have done a program with you to become a Coach
- Repeat Step 1 and 2 – Start a new program (or the same one again), and invite others to do it with you.
- Keep creating content
- Invite those that have done a program with you to become a Coach
- Keep repeating the steps.
Step 1 – Pick A Program
This step is pretty straight forward. Pick a Beachbody program to follow and stick to it all the way to the end.
Do the workouts, and follow the meal plan as best as you can.
Don’t worry about being perfect. Things happen. Maybe you miss a day or 2. No big deal, life happens, just keep going as best as you can.
Follow the meal plan as best as you can. But again, it’s OK if you go off the rails and have a few cheat days. It’s about being human, not perfect.
Try your hardest to get through the program and achieve the best results you can for yourself. You want to be proof the products work.
Think of it this way, you decide to become a Beachbody Coach, pick a program and stick do it. You will get great results. Even if you don’t move on to the next steps, the worst case scenario is that you end up losing some weight and getting in better shape.
Step 2 – Invite Others To Do A Program With You
Don’t over complicate this step. Keep it super simple.
When inviting others, you must reach out to them directly either through a phone call, text message, private message, email, etc.
Do NOT just post on facebook or any other social media platform.
Invite in the same you would as if you were inviting people over to your house for a Saturday barbecue. Get an answer from the people you invite. Are they coming or not? Yes or no?… I need to know so I know how much potato salad I need to make.
Here’s a simple example of what you say or write when inviting.
Hey Amy! I’m starting a new workout program on Monday and am looking for a few friends to who’d like to do it with me. The workouts and meal plans are already in place, all we have to do is follow the program. I know it’s going to be challenging, so my thoughts were we could go through the program together, motivate one another, and hold each other accountable. My goal is to lose 10lbs in the next 21 days. Let’s do this! Are you in?
The above invite is just an example, you don’t have to copy it word for word. Keep it simple. Be genuine. And most importantly be excited!
Be prepared for rejection. People will say “NO” to you.
Close friends and family members that you thought would say “YES” will say NO.
This is normal and part of the process. Don’t let rejection discourage you or stop you from moving forward.
Here’s what is important to know.
As time goes by and you continue to build your business, the people that say YES to you will be the same people that told you NO in the past.
A “NO” is not really a “NO”, it’s more likely a “NOT NOW”.
Here’s what happens. From the original example invite I wrote above, let’s say your friend Amy tells you “NO”.
No big deal to you, you simply say, “OK I understand, if you’re ready in the future let me know”… And you keep moving forward.
Amy is going to keep watching you and what you are doing. She is going to see you and others that have joined you sticking to your workouts, eating healthy, feeling good, getting in better shape… and eventually at some point in the future, Amy is going to reach out to you and say, “OK, I’m ready now!”
That’s why it’s important to stick to Step 1 – Pick a program and work to get the best results possible. You’re getting in better shape for yourself, but you’re also motivating and inspiring others.
Your message is, “if I can do this, then so can you!”
Make sense so far?
Step 3 – Create Content/Blog & YouTube
Create online content to document your journey.
If you’re not sure where to begin with creating a blog/website or videos, don’t worry, I can help you. Internet and content marketing is my specialty.
There are many directions you could take this. Create a blog and YouTube video and share what you experiences are with the program you are doing.
Write about the workouts & the meal plans.
Don’t just share your successes, but also the struggles. People love to see that we’re not perfect and that we share the same struggles and they do. Be human. Be vulnerable. Be relatable.
What I love about content marketing is that you only spend the time to create it once, and after that it’s out there in internetland working for you 24/7. Every day, all day long, while you’re asleep, people in any part of the world can be viewing your content.

Step 4 – Invite Others To Become A Coach
Step 4 is a crucial to step to growing your Beachbody business. This business model gives you to amazing things to take advantage of:
- Exponential Growth
When you hear about Beachbody Coaches that are earning thousands of dollars a week, it’s because they’ve built a very large team, and not because they make a large amount of sales every week.

This is a topic you’ll learn more about as you go. For now, just know that it’s important to invite others to the business opportunity in order to grow your business.
Again, keep it simple, don’t over complicate this step.
When inviting, simply share with other why you joined and what made you excited about the opportunity.
- Maybe you just wanted to get a discount on your own purchases
- The start up fee is waived for anyone that has ever purchased a Challenge Pack
- The opportunity to share products that you love with others and get paid to do so! (Don’t be afraid of talking about making money. This is a business and if you are spending time away from family, friends, or doing some of the other things you love, you should be paid for your time. There is nothing wrong with that.
Here’s a link to a post I made that gives tips on how to invite to the Beachbody Coaching business opportunity – http://coachquestions.com/how-to-share-the-beachbody-coaching-opportunity/
Step 5 – Repeat Steps 1 & 2
A good strategy is to send out a round of invitations every month. The first Monday of every month is a good “Day 1” for most people.
Having a “start” day is important because it gives people a deadline and creates a sense of urgency. There is no “I’ll think about it and get back you”… It’s “we’re starting in 3 days, are you in or out?”
Because of this, The 21 Day Fix (Or 21 Day Fix Extreme) is a good program to use for this strategy. It’s only 3 weeks long and you could start a new round each month.
If you want to do one of the longer programs, that’s fine, just be aware of how you’re going to stick to your inviting schedule.
How you go about and what works best for is up to you. It’s your business and you’re free to run things however you want.
Also, everything in this post is general tips. You don’t necessarily have to participate in the same workout as everyone else if you don’t want to. For example, maybe you’ve already complete 3 rounds of the 21 Day fix and now want to try something else. On month 4 you could invite people to do the 21 Day Fix, however you could do start the 80 Day Obsession. There is no rule that says you can’t do things like.
Step 6 – Keep Creating Content
Content marketing is a long term strategy. Most people don’t do it (or try and give up too soon) because they don’t see immediate results.
It might take 6 months to a year before you start to see the fruits of your labor from content marketing… But it’s worth the effort and the wait.
For example, let’s say you start a blog and commit to making 3 new posts a week, and 2 new YouTube videos (that you also embed on your blog) a week.
- Over the course of a year you’d have over 150 blog posts & over 100 video on YouTube… Content that is working for you 24/7 365 creating leads, sales, and signups for you!
Step 7 – Keep Inviting To The Business Opportunity
Same as Step 4, keep inviting your happy customers to become a Coach. Growing your team, and creating a ripple effect that ultimately reaches hundreds, and thousands of people.
Step 8 – Keep Repeating
Keep going. Keep things simple. There are no shortcuts or secret methods.
Do, fail, learn from your failures and mistakes, do over, and repeat… THAT IS THE SECRET.
Don’t over complicate it!
