7 Reasons Your Beachbody Coach Business Is Failing

Are you a Beachbody Coach that is struggling to move your business forward?

Maybe you’ve been a Coach for a few weeks, a few months, or even a few years, but for some reason you can’t seem to get traction when it comes to growing your business.

In this post I’m going to give you 7 reasons WHY your business isn’t moving forward. Because I’m speaking (or writing) generally here, not all of these reasons will apply to you (but they might), but I’m certain at least one or two of them will resonate with you.

7 Reasons Why Your Beachbody Coaching Business Is Not Successful

  1. There are too many Beachbody Coaches. The market is saturated. You “missed the boat”.
  2. Shakeology is too expensive. No one wants to spend $130 on a protein shake.
  3. Your sponsor/upline doesn’t help you. It’s not your fault, you simply joined the wrong team.
  4. You live in small town and there is not very many people to talk to. (Again, not your fault.)
  5. You’re not in perfect shape and don’t have a 6 pack abs, why would someone listen to you.
  6. You don’t have a “system” to follow.
  7. And lastly, you just don’t know anyone that is interested in Beachbody’s products or business opportunity.

Do any of these 7 reasons resonate with you? Did you find yourself nodding your head up and down as you were reading them?

Did you also notice how NONE of these reasons are YOUR fault?

So what’s the answer?

What can you do?

Beachbody Coaching Success

GOTCHA!… It IS Your Fault…

If you were nodding your head up and down, agreeing with those 7 reasons I listed as you were reading them, then we have some serious work to do because I was totally just effin with you.

Those 7 reasons are common things I hear from Beachbody Coaches that complain, make excuses, and blame everything on someone or something else. None of those 7 reasons are legitimate or logical excuses for not having success as a Beachbody Coach.

Do not… I repeat, DO NOT buy into any of the 7 things I listed above. In order to be successful as a Beachbody Coach, you must adopt the beliefs and mindsets of other successful Coaches.

Your success (or failure) is based on YOUR effort. Stop blaming outside factors that you have no control over. Focus on the things you can control, like your effort and attitude.

Once you take 100% responsibility for your business and your results, you’ll have your breakthrough. (It took me almost a year to accept this.)

In this post I’ll give 7 LEGITIMATE reasons why you might not be having success as a Beachbody Coach, and what you can do to get on the right track. But first, I’ll briefly debunk the 7 reasons I listed above.

“There are too many Beachbody Coaches, the market is saturated” is simply not true. From a home based business perspective, Beachbody is still a “baby” when you compare them to some of the other big companies that are out. For example, Avon has over 6 million distributors worldwide. The fact that the Beachbody Coaching opportunity is currently only available in the U.S. and Canada means there is HUGE potential for growth once we launch internationally. “Market saturation” in network marketing is a common myth. There were people that told me there were too many Beachbody Coaches back in 2009. I’m glad I didn’t listen to them.

Shakeology is too expense – False. Shakeology is an amazing product that is worth every penny. People are buying Shakeology, the company stats can prove that. They’re just not buying it from you. If you think Shakeology is too expensive, you’re going to have a hard time recommending it others. Educate yourself on the product to raise your belief in it.

Your sponsor doesn’t help you. So what. What exactly do you want your sponsor to do for you? There are many great resources available to you. Read some books, hop on youtube. There is no rule that says you can’t learn more than your sponsor, produce more, and earn more than them. I see that happen all of the time. I’m a higher rank than the Coach who sponsored me into the business. Who sponsors you into the business has ZERO affect on your results. Your own effort will determine your results.

You live in a small town. Great, so do I. And I have customers and Coaches on my team from every state in the U.S. and all throughout Canada. One of the main benefits of this business is that we’re NOT limited by location. We can have customers from anywhere. Nowadays location is irrelevant. With the internet, email, social media, etc, everyone has become just a “click” away.

Your not in perfect shape, who would listen to you? Being imperfect makes you relatable. It’s not required to be in perfect shape to be a successful Beachbody Coach. As long as you are using Beachbody’s workouts and drinking Shakeology to improve your own health fitness, then you’re on the right track. What’s important is progress, not perfection.

You don’t have a “system” to follow. This is just flat out B.S. There is no such thing as one-size fits-all system that will work for everyone. However, there is great training for you to plug into. Success as a Beachbody Coach starts from the 3 Daily Vital Behaviors (and if you’re a Coach you should know what those are). Master the 3 Daily Vital Behaviors, and success will come.

You just don’t know anyone that is interested in Beachbody’s products or the business opportunity. I gotta call “B.S.” on this one too. With nearly 70% of the U.S. population (200 million people) overweight or obese, you don’t know, or can’t find anyone that is looking for a solution? And you don’t know, or can’t find anyone that is looking for a way to earn extra income from home?… I’m not buying that. There are MILLIONS of people out there that are looking for EXACTLY what Beachbody Coaches have to offer. Our job is to get out there and find those people.

I’m giving you some tough love here. The point I’m trying to make is that you need to get over your excuses and reasons why you think you can’t have success. When I first got started as a Beachbody Coach I had a list a mile long of reasons why I couldn’t have the same type of success others were having. I had to work on getting past my limiting beliefs.

The REAL 7 Reasons Why Your Beachbody Coach Business Is Not Moving Forward

Again, I’m speaking generally here. I don’t know you or exactly where you are at on your journey, but from my experience over the years these are the most common reasons I see that are causing Beachbody Coaches to struggle with their business. Maybe 1 or 2 of the reasons apply to you, or maybe they all do.

In no particular order;

1 – You don’t belief in the products or opportunity. If you don’t love the products and feel they are worth the money, your integrity is going to prevent you from sharing them with others. Often times Coaches struggle with their belief in Shakeology and or the business opportunity. The good news is there are ways to get over this by working to raise your belief level. If your belief level is low, my advice is to educate yourself on the product or the business model, and seek out testimonials and success stories from others.

2 – You refuse to listen to the weekly National Wake Up calls. I’m always baffled by this one. Some will say they want to be successful, however they can’t find 40 minutes a week to listen to the call. Every week a successful Coach is on the call sharing great ideas, tips, and strategies that will help you grow your business, but you don’t want to listen… that just doesn’t make sense. All of the calls are recorded and there is a 24/7 playback line, so you can listen at your own convenience. Start making these calls a weekly priority.

3 – You ignore personal development. As one of the 3 Vital Behaviors, personal development is so important. I know there are many Coaches who start out and think to themselves, “I don’t need this rah rah crap”, but don’t be one of them. I challenge you to find one successful Coach that says you don’t need personal development. Success leaves clues. Have an open mind and pick up a book and start by reading 10 pages a day. A secret to success is to work harder on yourself than you do your business. Don’t ignore personal development. Put an emphasis on learning and growing.

4 – You’re not stepping out of your comfort zone. You’re going to have to if you want build a successful business. Move out of your comfort zone. You can only grow if you are willing to feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.

5 – You’re worried what people will think of you. You have to get over this. What’s more important, what people think of you, or your goals and dreams? Haters are going to hate, it comes with the territory.

6 – You don’t want to face rejection. Rejection is inevitable. Not everyone is going to want what you have to offer (most people won’t). Getting “no’s” is part of the process. Getting “no’s” is actually a good thing because it means you are doing something. I great book on this subject is Go for No! Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There, by Richard Fenton and Andrea Waltz

7 – You don’t understand the potential this business has. You don’t see the big picture. You’re not sure if this is worth your time and the sacrifice required to build a successful business. This is a mindset and a belief issue. The good news is that you can educate yourself and be able to understand the potential this business has. What’s important is to truly believe that you can be successful and that the work you are putting in is going to be worth the rewards (even though it doesn’t seem like it at the time).

I explained the 7 reasons above very briefly. I could write an entire chapter on each of these topics. You’ll notice that a big portion of this comes down to your mindset. The strategies and actions you need to take are very simple and easy to learn, it’s actually taking action and doing them that is the hard part. This business is a mental game. Achieving and maintaining the right mindset is what is challenging.

It’s not easy… But it’s definitely worth it!
